Charlie Peer had often dreamed of owning his own business. Learjet gave him the opportunity to start his own business when they eliminated his engineering position in 1968. With knowledge of a product that Lear was having difficulty purchasing and the encouragement of his wife Pat, he plunged into development of his first product, nicknamed the “H-valve” because of it’s resemblance to the letter H. Over the years ASC has focused on engineering and manufacturing components for a number of general aviation OEMs. Included in their line have been a diverse group of products from small motors and blowers to a variety of valves and regulators. ASC sales and engineering personnel work closely with its customers to develop specialized products to fit their specific needs and have the ability to proto-type and test those products in house.
With over 500 different part numbers, ASC products can be found in planes and systems manufactured by Cessna, Hamilton Sunstrand, Beechcraft, Honeywell and Embraer.
